I am excited to start this blog! I will be sharing “normal” daily activities that I do in my life to help encourage you to lead a healthier life.  I plan on blogging weekly to start out. I hope that this blog and my story as it unfolds will help you in your life and/or maybe to encourage others to lead a healthier life in fitness, mind and spiritual life.

I have always had a hard time starting anything, whether it be getting up early, working out, gardening etc.  The act of starting something has and still is the hardest part for me.  I am now aware that no matter what I’m working on or want to do I have a hard time starting.  Now that I am aware of that I have been actively repeating to myself just start, just start you will love it!  The truth is once I start I do love it!

Why is is so hard to start something? I am still working on that answer but I think a portion of it is due to fear. Fear of rejection, fear of not being perfect, fear of some environmental factor.  In reality I have to overcome my fears and rejoice when I do. To help me rejoice and count my blessings I have started a  Blessings Journal. This has helped me have a much happier outlook on life and change my mindset! 🙂

I’ve started using positive affirmations to encourage me to start. Through thinking more positively I have been more apt to start. To close I would like to suggest two books.

  1. Start by Jon Acuff
  2. Eat that FROG! by Brian Tracy

My Challenge for you is to start your own Blessings Journal.  Post a picture of your journal on my Facebook Group or comment below and together we will encourage others.

I would also like to challenge you to pick one thing that you’ve been procrastinating and just start! Post that to my Facebook Group or comment below with the name of the thing you’ve been wanting to start and the date (m,d,y) you are starting.  I’ll start by posting here.
